ditch the engine even if it is fixable, those evo ones suck. get an OS and a real flying field

That was the only Evo I owned that came with the plane. Saito's and OS in my hangar. Our flying field had an event that day so we decided to take a drive..

Did you install retracts? That plane was really moving fast. What prop were you using?

Yes I did install retracts, I believe I was the first. I was using an APC11X7, I actually shimmed the motor and was running 30% for the altitude. Made a big difference..
